Spectacular coastal scenery, wildlife, aboriginal culture, history and station life collide, offering you the complete Kimberley experience – all this in just one day.
Your adventure begins, departing Kununurra and follow the Lower Ord River, keeping your eyes peeled for Salt Water Crocodiles. Fly by the historic Port of Wyndham, over Cambridge Gulf, and Adolphus Island, where you meet the Kimberley coast. Pass the Berkeley River before orbiting the impressive King George Falls and Landing at Kalumburu Aboriginal Community.
Your on ground tour includes some light refreshments. Marvel at the historic monastery and mission. Then board your aircraft and head to Mitchell Plateau where you will orbit the spectacular Mitchell Falls. From here head in land to cattle country and your next stop is at Drysdale Station, a working cattle station off the Gibb River Road. Included is the famous “Works Burger” meet the locals and get an insight into station life.
Fly alongside the magnificent Cockburn Ranges, as seen in Baz Luhrmann’s film “Australia”, on your return to Kununurra.
Please bring water bottle (can be purchased at Alligator), hat, sunscreen and sturdy walking shoes.
